Born under the Veil — the night geometry that resolves in moonlight.
Something shifts inside the glass. The most spectral Heart — an Amethyst Smoke glow that never quite settles, carrying a slow swirl underneath.
Veil-born
Veil-born Motes trace their Heart to a night origin: a moon-gate that opened on a specific lunar phase, a geometric fog bank high in a canyon, a ruin interior rediscovered in spectral light. The event that kindled them leaves the chest with an Amethyst Smoke glow and a soft rotational swirl layered on top — the only Lineage whose chest light is not a simple gradient.
Veil-born culture clusters around ritual observance, relic consecration, and hermit observatory orders on remote cliffs. They are the rarest Lineage by a wide margin — settlements with a settled Veil-born population are unusual, and Veil-born travelers on the overworld tend to be solitary, bound for a ruin site or an altar only visible at night.
Where the light comes from
Every Lineage carries a small family of colors — one on the Mote itself, the rest showing up across ornament, armor, and the places they gather.
